Who we are
Paeds Plus Pty Ltd runs Paeds Plus, a private paediatric practice at Unit 15, 13 Hobsons Gate, Currambine WA 6028. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect

- Parent and carer names and contact details.
- Health information, such as referral letters, reports, medical history, test results and clinical notes.
- Billing and payment details.
- For job enquiries: your name, contact details, role and current workplace.
- For Claremont updates: your name, email and postcode.
How we collect it
- From you, through our website forms, by phone, by email or in person.
- From your child's GP, specialists, allied health clinicians, school or hospital, usually in a referral letter.
- If you don't give us the information we need, we may not be able to see your child.
Why we use it
- To triage referrals and manage our waitlists.
- To provide care, keep accurate records and work with your child's other health professionals.
- To bill you, Medicare, the NDIS or your health fund.
- To contact you about appointments and your child's care.

Who we share it with
- Your child's GP, referrer and other treating practitioners.
- Medicare, the NDIA and health funds, for billing.
- Pathology, imaging and hospital services involved in your child's care.
- Service providers that help us run the practice, such as our practice software (Clinic to Cloud), email (Microsoft 365) and website forms service (Supabase, in Sydney). They must keep your information confidential.
- Others where the law requires or allows it, for example to lessen a serious threat to someone's health or safety.
Our website
- When you upload a referral letter, it's read on your own device to fill in the form. Nothing is sent until you press Submit.
- Submitted forms and files are held in Australia (Sydney) only until they reach our practice inbox, then deleted from the website service. Anything that can't be delivered is deleted after 7 days.
- To block spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address for up to a day.
- Our website is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard technical logs such as IP addresses and may process them overseas, including in the United States.
- We don't use advertising cookies or tracking analytics.
Storage and security
- We choose providers that store health information in Australia wherever possible.
- Only staff who need your information can access it, and connections to our systems are encrypted.
- If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
How long we keep it
- We keep health records for as long as the law and professional standards require. For children, this is usually until at least their 25th birthday.
- Copies held by the website forms service are deleted once delivered, as described above.

You can ask to see, or correct, your own or your child's information. Contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We'll respond within 30 days.
