GP referral guide
Paediatricians, a child psychiatrist, GPs and allied health in one clinic in Currambine, for children from birth to 16. Opening in Claremont in July 2027.
Three ways to refer
- Secure message from your software. Best Practice or MedicalDirector, by HealthLink to Paeds Plus. EDI: to be confirmed.
- Upload it for the family at paedsplus.com.au/referrers, with a parent's mobile. We contact the family.
- Give the letter to the family. They upload it to our referral form, which fills itself in from the letter.
Please include
- The child's full details and a parent's mobile.
- Past and current medical and developmental conditions.
- Current concerns and the reason for referral.
- The clinic: general medical, developmental, ADHD or psychiatry.
What happens next
We triage
To the right clinic and clinician. Urgent medical referrals first.
Waitlist
Each clinic has its own list. Current waits are on our website.
Appointment
We phone the family to book, and send you feedback once your patient has been seen.
Good to know
- New patients must be under 16 at their first appointment.
- Priority clinics: unsettled babies, breathing problems, asthma, recurrent infections.
- Allied health needs no referral. A GP plan gives a Medicare rebate.
- We can't accept referrals by plain email.
