GENERAL PAEDIATRICS - MEDICAL
ABOUT GENERAL PAEDIATRICS
We offer a range of Paediatric services at Paeds Plus with seperate clinics for Developmental Paediatrics and General Medical Paediatrics
General Paediatricians are doctors who care for children ranging from newborn babies, infants, children and adolescents. Our general paediatric clinics provides care for children with acute and chronic medical conditions. Appointments with a general paediatrician can range from a simple 6-week check up for your newborn, acute management of new medical illnesses, to ongoing care for children with complex and chronic medical conditions.
We work closely and proactively with other professionals involved in your child’s care. These may include your General Practitioner, other medical specialists, speech pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, teachers and educators.
Developmental Paediatric Concerns (i.e Developmental Delay, Autism, ADHD) are not addressed in our General Paediatric Medical Clinic Appointments. Paeds Plus runs a seperate Developmental Clinic scheduled at other times with our Developmental Paediatricians. A seperate waiting list applies for each specialty clinic. This allows urgent Paediatric Medical cases, including unsettled newborn babies, to be seen promptly optimising patient safety and care.
